Jode’s Mediterranean Eatery – Mediterranean Food Made from Scratch
With almost 30 years of experience as a chef, Jode opened Jode’s Mediterranean Eatery to spend more time with his son and build a business together. The eatery serves falafel and Mediterranean dishes inspired by Greek, Italian and Middle Eastern flavours, including grilled meats and vegetarian options.
Everything is prepared from scratch, with an emphasis on fresh ingredients and home-style cooking. It’s one of the many restaurants on Carlisle Street where visitors can discover the people and stories behind the food.
Flirty Flowers – A Local Florist with a Personal Touch
A few minutes from Jode’s, Grace visits Flirty Flowers, a local florist on Carlisle Street offering fresh flowers, custom wedding arrangements and house plants.
What stands out in the episode is the relationship the team has built with its customers. Many are treated more like friends and family than shoppers, reflecting the personal service and community connections that independent businesses can offer.
